Happy 4th Birthday Luke!

Today Luke turns four years old!!  I remember his birth day like it was yesterday.  It was such an exciting day. We are blessed beyond words to be Luke's parent.  More to come with pictures of all his birthday parties! :)

Riders visit

The Riders came to visit a couple weeks ago.  It was the first time seeing Violet since we visited her in the hospital.  It was fun to see them - Violet has such a calm demeanor and is such a sweetie!

Violet and Uncle Jim

Ella came over to meet Violet.  We tried to get pictures of all the kids, but Luke didn't want to be in the picture.  Brady was very cooperative, as were Ella and Violet.  We got some great pictures!

Ella was so over it!

Had to post one with Luke :)

Come back here Violet!

Johnson Hayride

The bi-annual Johnson hayride/bonfire was a few weeks ago.  We had great weather - a little chilly so we were bundled up - and lots of fun!  It was fun to see the kids interact.  Grandma and Grandpa have a long driveway so the younger kids had fun riding bikes and scooters up and down the driveway.

Brady and cousin Calvin bonded over their love of cheetos...Calvin kept scooting closer to Brady until he was sitting right next to him.  it was so cute!

Halloween

This year we carved, painted and drilled pumpkins!  We didn't get pictures of the final products...not sure what we were thinking.  This month Brady gets so excited when he sees pumpkins ("pumpum") anywhere.  When we walk around the neighborhood he wants to go and touch each pumpkin he sees, and tries to lift them up.

We trick or treated a couple times this year.  First, the weekend before Halloween at an outdoor shopping center with cousin Ella.  Once they got the hang of it, the boys were pretty excited to pick out a piece of candy at each store.  On Halloween night, I took the boys to one house....then Luke decided he wanted to go back to the house and hand out candy.  But Brady wanted to keep going - he never wants to go inside.  So Luke and I headed back home to hand out candy while Jim and Brady went out.  About 10 minutes later, cousin Clara, Joel, Jim and Brady knock on our door.  Luke loves playing with Clara, so he decided to go out and trick or treat with them.  It sounds like they had lots of fun and Brady was leading the pack!  The boys had a Halloween party at Joy's and Luke also had one at preschool.  So they made out pretty good in the candy department! :)
