Here are some recent pictures from the past few weeks! This weekend will be Luke's first Iowa tailgating experience....it's very exciting! :)

Grandma Love

Grandma Jo came and watched Luke for 3 days because his day care was closed. They both had a great time!! Luke is very lucky to have such loving and fun grandparents. Here are a few pictures from the past week.

Mary Jo and Luke worked on his standing and crawling a lot. If Mary Jo would've come a week earlier it would've been easier to watch Luke cuz he wasn't crawling yet. :)

Luke woke up from his nap and was very cuddly and only wanted Grandma

Luke does a great job crawling "normal" on the carpet, but when he gets to the hardwood or tile he doesn't like his knees to touch the floor....it's funny but he gets mad after getting a few feet from the carpet.

The Lehtinens

Our life-time family friends, Phyllis, Steve, Kristen and Lauren came and visited us in Omaha last weekend. It'd been a year since we saw them so it was great seeing them again! And Luke had a lot of fun with them too! Since I was sick most of the time Luke got a lot of girl time with them. Here are some pictures from their visit (most pictures courtesy of Kristen - thank you!). Grandma Jo is in town watching Luke since his day care is closed this week. Luke is loving the undivided attention and it sounds like Mary Jo is having lots of fun too! Pictures to come later. Since Luke learned to crawl last week he's been mastering it. He's also loving to pull himself up on couches, coffee tables, legs...anything to stand up.

Crawling!

Luke crawled forward for the first time tonight...we're so proud!! He's been scooting backwards but hadn't quite figured out how to go forward. Phyllis, Steve, Kristen, Amanda, Mom, Jim and I all witnessed it. Here is a video of him crawling!

Here are a few new pictures from the past week...

Last weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa Johnsons to freeze some sweet corn. Here Jim, Jessica and Adam are cutting the kernals off the cob. It was a lot of fun, and the end result was 46 freezer bags of sweet corn....yumm!!!

Luke wanted a taste of my sweet corn... Every time I brought it to my mouth he would open his mouth. I think he'll like sweet corn some day :)

Luke was very comfortable on Grandma's lap....

...so comfortable that he doozed off.
