Luke's first CWS game!

Last week my dad and Jim took Luke to his first College World Series baseball game. They decided at the last minute to pick him up from daycare after lunch and take him to the game. It sounds like they had a great time! Days later Luke still talks about when grandpa and daddy took him to the baseball game. Luke did miss his nap, so he only lasted a couple hours - but it was worth it. The CWS is a big event in Omaha, so I'm sure Luke will love going to games in the upcoming years!

Grandma's 80th and CWS

June has flown by for us (well at least for me being that it was the last few weeks of maternity leave)! Brady is continuing to grow and change so fast! He's a very go-with-the-flow baby, and is very social - smiling and babbling to everyone.
Today was his first day at daycare and he did great! I guess Luke was VERY protective...asking for "big brother" whenever he was out of site, and holding his hand when Joy was holding him. I think that it's so sweet! Luke was excited that Brady was going to Joy's with him this morning. It's nice going back to work on a Friday...now I have 2 days off, so I get to ease back into it a little.
Enjoy the pictures from the past month of so!

Such a happy boy!

Meet the "Future President"! Thanks Karen and Gaylon for the onsie! Brady wasn't in the mood for pictures...

June 17th was Grandma Johnson's 80th birthday. The Johnson clan gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house for a nice evening to celebrate. It was great seeing everyone again, and we missed those that couldn't make it. Happy Birthday Grandma!!

The College World Series is in Omaha! We love going to the baseball games and we're glad that Mary Jo and Neil were able to come to Omaha for a couple games. This is the inaugural year for the new stadium. It was built directly across the street from Amanda's apartment...which turned into the place to be between games. These pictures were taken on her balcony. It was a great Father's Day at the ball park for Jim and Neil. They would love to attend every single CWS game, even if it is 90+ degrees!

First Smiles & Jim's Bday

Last weekend was Jim's birthday! We celebrated in Kansas City with his family. We had a good time. Luke was Grandpa Neil's shadow all weekend...I'm not sure who was more worn out, Luke or Neil! We ate lots of good food prepared by Jen, Nate and Tara. It was Brady's first road trip and he did great! He slept the whole 3 hours to KC, then took a couple cat naps on the way home and was content when he was awake.
Brady had his 2 month check up today. He's a healthy growing boy! He weighed in at 13 lbs, 3oz (80 percentile) and 23 inches (50 percentile). He weighs a little more than Luke did at his age. He had to get 3 shots, poor guy! Last weekend Brady started smiling a lot more. He loves to coo and babble and smile at people - it's so fun!
I have 3 more weeks of maternity leave and am already dreading going back to work. I love spending my days with my boys! I'm hoping that taking Brady to day care won't be as emotional for me because I know and trust our day care provider...but I'm sure I'll still be emotional.

Enjoy the picture from the past month!
