Trick Or Treat!

Here are a few pictures from Halloween this year. Luke was another super hero - Superman, and Brady was a lion.  Brady told me he wanted to be a "roar" which means lion, tiger and dinosaur to him.... so I found this cute lion costume for him.  We went trick or treating the weekend before Halloween at Village Point with cousin Ella as well as Halloween night.  The boys sure have a lot of candy!!

Ready to go!

Wyatt helped me hand out candy.  Although he was a little fussy so we ended up putting the bowl of candy out on the porch.

We gutted a few pumpkins and roasted the seeds - yum!

First Day of Preschool

A few days after Wyatt was born, Luke started his second year of preschool.  He goes 3 times a week this year and next year will go to kindergarten (ah! can't believe it!).  Jim and the boys were all home since Jim was taking off some time from work.  So we all got to drop Luke off for his first day.  He was a little nervous, but excited too.  Brady was sad to drop off his big brother.... it was pretty sweet!

Wyatt Lee Swanson

I have a few minutes free to post a few pictures from Wyatt's birth (5 weeks ago).  Wyatt was born the day before his due date on August 30th.  His birth reminded me a lot of Luke's birth...I woke up to contractions around 1am, timed them for a few hours as they got more intense and closer together.  Finally around 3:30 am we called my parents to come over and stay with Luke and Brady so we could go to the hospital.  We got to the hospital around 4am and got settled into the room.  I got some IV meds that made me very sleepy, so i was able to rest between contractions.  The meds made the contractions farther apart but stronger.  About an hour later the nurse recommended I walk around to pick things up or break my water.... but I was really ready for an epidural!  So she checked me - 4 cm, 100% effaced (progress from when I arrived at 3 cm, 80%) so she ordered the epidural.
I got the epidural at 6:30 and things were a blur from there.  My blood pressure dropped and I was nauseated.  The baby's heart rate also dropped so they had me on oxygen and moving from side to side until his heart rate went back up - which was pretty quickly.  My water broke on its own and things started progressing really quickly.  I was 6cm, then 7/8 cm (7:30), then 9 1/2 cm (8:15 - I was feeling a lot of pressure at this point).  They called my doctor who had to send her partner over from another hospital.  After just a few pushes baby 3 was born at 8:47am!  He didn't have a name until a few hours later.

Summertime

This summer is flying by!  Baby #3 is due in 5 weeks... we are anxiously awaiting his arrival.  Here are some pictures from the past couple months!
Also, today is our 6th wedding anniversary!  A lot has changed in six years - 2 houses and nearly 3 kids!  We have an amazing life together and are so blessed.  Love you Jim!!

Three years of Jim and Luke at CWS games.  Luke was lucky enough to go to a few games this year - he loved them.  Luke first went to a game when he was 2 1/2.... Brady is a few months younger now and we can't imagine taking him because he would never sit still for longer than a few minutes. :)

So in love with this face!

After Luke's last game....someone was ready to go (I think it was 95* at that game)
