Sledding in the Loess Hills

This weekend we went to my grandparents farm to go sledding. Everyone had a great time! Luke couldn't wait to get outside to play in the snow!
We started to potty train Luke a couple weeks ago. He certainly has a lot of accidents, but has had a couple successes. He is really learning to tell us when he has to sit on the potty (sometimes a couple seconds too late). Hopefully he'll be out of diapers before the new baby comes! We are also in the process of moving Luke to his new room. He will move into the former guest room - we got his bed and mattress, we just need to get some bedding, curtains and decor in the room. We have a couple months to transition him into his big boy bed, so hopefully it's a pretty easy change for him...he's already excited about his new big boy bed which will help.

Luke is all bundled up to go sledding!

Elmo and Potty chair

Happy 2011!
The week between Christmas and New Years Luke and Jim got to spend the week together. They had a lot of fun playing and even made a trip to the zoo. Here is Luke looking at the fishies.
"Daddy's Little Troublemaker"
After helping me wash dishes Luke's clothes were soaked so he wore one of daddy's shirts around for awhile....he thought it was pretty special.
Elmo and the Sesame Street gang came to Omaha this weekend! Jim, Luke and I had fun clapping and dancing to the music. Luke did pretty well during the show but began getting antsy towards the end.
Yummy popcorn!

Luke got an Elmo doll at the show...he carries it with him everywhere now!
Future snowboarder?
Joy (our daycare provider) is going to try to start training Luke and another little girl at daycare this week. So he sat on the potty chair a couple times this weekend.
First it was Luke's turn.....
...then Elmo's turn! Neither of them were "successful". :)
Our little hawkeye fan taking a break from playing football to read a book.
Have a great week! We'll keep you posted on the potty training....hopefully he catches on soon!
Here's a belly picture at 27 weeks....Luke likes to show his belly too when we take belly pictures. He's being silly in this one. He thinks we should name the baby "Lily", like his friend at daycare. :)
