Jenny and Nate's Iowa Reception

Last weekend we went to Cedar Rapids for Jenny and Nate's Iowa reception. It was a lot of fun! Luke enjoyed all the attention he got from his grandparents, aunts, uncle and great aunt and uncle.
Luke started running a temp on Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday (up to 101!)...finally his temp broke late Wed night. So around 2am Thursday morning he woke up and decide it was playtime! He's not quite 100% but is feeling much better. It's so heartbreaking when he's sick! We thought he was teething but no teeth have popped up yet.
This weekend we're going to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's to get some fresh sweetcorn...yummm!
Here are some pictures from Cedar Rapids and Luke playing at home.

Chatter box

Here's a video of Luke chatting. As you can see he's drooling all the time but no teeth yet! (Sorry it's kinda long but I don't know how to edit it down).

Pool, Baseball and a Wedding

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a couple weeks! Luke sure keeps us busy. :) Here are a few pictures and what we've been up to the last two weeks.

Luke and I at the pool. It was a little too chilly to get in the pool.

Luke wanted a drink of Grandpa's "bottle" :)

Luke likes to stand up...maybe he'll start walking before crawling like his daddy! Jim was trying to teach Luke how to play fetch with Alfred.

Luke was laughing hysterically at me splashing the water. It was so funny!

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend with Mary Jo, Neil and Tara in town. It seemed like none of our plans worked out but it was still a good weekend. We'd planned to go to the zoo... along with the entire city of Omaha...so after waiting in line for a long time to get into the parking lot, Mary Jo and Neil didn't make it into the lot. So we decided not to go to the zoo. On Friday evening we drove down to Lincoln to watch Patrick play baseball...when we got to the game Patrick was done pitching and the game was a blowout after the 1st inning. We did get to go to Jim's favorite Mexican restaurant in Lincoln and then had to drive home through a heavy rain storm.
Luke enjoyed multiple walks with his grandparents and lots of playtime with everyone. On the 4th we relaxed and then grilled out in the evening. It was a fun weekend! Below are some pictures from the weekend and a couple videos.

Pool time

Luke and I joined Aunt Jessica at the pool last weekend, Luke's first pool trip! Luke had just woken up from a nap so he wasn't too sure about the chilly pool water...or his sunglasses. This weekend Grandma Jo and Grandpa Swanson and Aunt Tara are coming to visit. We plan to go to the zoo and grill out on the 4th. Luckily we're getting our new air conditioner installed today so we don't have to continue to suffer in the heat.
We hope everyone has a great 4th of July. Happy birthday Amanda!! Have fun celebrating in Italy!
