Pool, Zoo and Big Boy Undies

Last week Jenny was in town for work so we visited her at her hotel. Luke loved swimming in the pool! By the time it was time to get out of the pool his lips were purple but he did not want to get out.
Last weekend we visited the zoo with Jessica, Adam and their nephew little Ethan. Luke had a lot of fun, he especially liked the fishies.

And he loved petting the baby goats. He chased them all over the petting zoo.
Luke had a bad diaper rash recently (we think his last eye tooth is coming in) so we were letting him run around without a diaper after baths. After an accident my mom gave us the brillant idea of putting underwear on him instead of letting him run around naked. He loves them and happily modeled them :)

Our little Hawkeye

Here's Luke "helping" dad do some push ups after his bath :)
We put a little Hawkeye uniform on Luke. It's a uniform that Jim got when he was a little kid.

Our little hawkeye! :)

Labor Day Weekend

Jim, Luke and I headed to Iowa City to visit Jim's folks and go to the Iowa game. Luke did such a good job traveling 8 hours! He had lots of fun with Grandma Jo - "Doe" as he likes to call her - Grandpa Swanson and Tara. On Monday we spend the day at my parent's with my grandparents and Uncle Gregg's family. It was a lot of fun getting together and taking Ashton wake boarding for the first time. She did a great job! Enjoy the pictures!

Luke loved playing the piano!

Playing in the cars at the mall

Jim with his childhood hero - Larry Station, a former Iowa football player
Uncle Gregg and Luke listening to Ashton play the violin
Great Grandpa Johnson reading to Luke

We are trying to teach Luke to say "Go Hawks!" but instead he says "Go football"...he gets the gist of it :)
